The Govt. Higher Secondary School ,started in 1957 was then governed by the Malabar District Board. The vice president K. V. Moosankutty inaugurated the school. The first Head Master of the school was Sri. John Master

As the power to govern the the high and higher secondary schools was given to the local bodies,now it is governed by the Kannur District Panchayath. Sri.K.K.Narayanan is the president of the dist. panchayath. Sri. P.K.Krishnan ,Deputy Director of Education is the head of the department in the revenue district.

Sri.Rajan Master is the district educatinal officer
